SSN TV Announces Distribution Deal with Arise TV

Little Rock, AR, October 6th, 2014 – In a historic making deal, SSN TV and ARISE TV have signed a content agreement that positions SSN as the nation’s number one source of news and information targeting African Americans. The unique agreement will provide for 5½ hours of co-branded news programs daily on the fast-growing network’s broadcast platform. Most recently, SSN announced it had gained distribution in 9 of the top 10 African American DMAs, including carriage on FiOS in NYC, parts of NJ and on the primary channel of its full power, must-carry television affiliate WMDE located in Washington DC. WMDE’s coverage extends to Baltimore, MD and Northern Virginia.

ARISE TV is an emerging 24-hour news and content company with a diverse team of over 500 world-class journalists dedicated to offering in-depth perspectives seldom given airtime on traditional news networks. With broadcast hubs in London, New York, Johannesburg and Lagos, ARISE NEWS reports precise, accurate information in a compelling style, while providing a range of opinions and insightful analyses – all day, every day while trusting viewers to draw their own conclusions.

“We look forward to this exciting collaboration with SSN TV,” said Nduka Obaigbena, Chairman, ARISE TV, “and working together to build an unrivaled information platform that reflects the global 21st century approach to the ways news is consumed. This deal provides us with a vitally important presence in the U.S. broadcast market, and gives SSN viewers a never before available perspective on the news beyond their own borders. This is a win-win for all involved.”
