D.C. Breakdown is a political talk show with a difference. D.C. Breakdown’s “southern cultural perspective” will take a look at the people and issues affecting your lives with clarity and insight.  Produced in cooperation with the prestigious National Press Club from our nation’s capital, D.C. Breakdown will soon become appointment television for those who want to be in the know about the policies and people who shape our government.

D.C. Breakdown will focus on experts, scholars, and political leaders to hold a deeper discussion of the issues and social concerns of the African-American community. Guests from Historically Black Colleges and Universities, the Joint Center for Political Studies, the Congressional Black Caucus, the African American Press Association, and representatives from both the progressive and conservative think tanks will meet to conduct broad analysis with a diversity of opinions. Join our dynamic host, veteran journalist Angela Rae, for your nightly dose of D.C. Breakdown .

Angela Rae

Angela Rae is the perfect fit for SSN's D.C. Breakdown.  A veteran television news anchor and reporter, Ms. Rae was the first African-American female lead anchor in the Miami market and voted Best News Anchor by Miami New Times magazine in 2000.  Her exemplary work during her time in New York, particularly as one of the lead anchors of reporting on the 9/11 disaster is just one example of her commitment and dedication to her craft.  With many  successful years of award-winning service in the television news profession, Angela brings a unique energy and style to the anchor chair. Her marketing and branding savvy, engaging public persona, legal background, analytical and problem solving abilities , communication, and crisis management skills will surely make Angela Rae and  D.C.
