Eddie Murphy Passes On SNL’s Cosby Skit

By all accounts, Saturday Night Live’s 40th Anniversary special brought down the house. Famous alums of the iconic show appeared on stage. One of the its most successful comedians opted out of a planned skit about Bill Cosby who has been mired in controversy for months following a revived interest in allegations of sexual assault involving more than 20 women.

Eddie Murphy had been asked to do an impression of Cosby during “Jeoparydy!” parody. But, Murphy turned down the suggestion apparently indicating he did not approve of kicking a man when he’s down. Through a spokesperson, Cosby responded, “I am very appreciative of Eddie and I applaud his actions.”
